Stream vs. Twofold

Twofold targets exactly the practices we do, at roughly a third of our price, with coding bundled. If you want the cheapest good scribe, it is probably them.

TwofoldStream

What it is A scribe A problem-based chart with a scribe in front of it

Where Twofold is better

  • Price, straightforwardly. $49 against $149, and CPT/ICD-10 coding is included.
  • No audio retained, which is a clean answer for privacy-cautious buyers.
  • They claim EHR integration. We have none.

Where Stream is different

Not better at being a scribe — different in what it is for. Every product here writes a good note. The question is what happens to it afterwards.

  • Twofold is a very good, very cheap note generator. That is the whole product.
  • There is no problem-based chart underneath, no document pipeline, and no care-gap or HCC surface.
  • We are not trying to be a cheaper scribe. Stream is priced like a chart because that is what it is, and you can do the arithmetic on whether that is worth it.

“At forty-nine dollars unlimited, what happens to the notes after they are written?”

Which one you should actually pick

Choose Twofold if…

The note is the whole job and price is the deciding factor. We would not try to talk you out of that.

Choose Stream if…

You have decided the chart is the problem worth paying to solve, not the typing.

Pricing for Twofold was taken from their public pricing page on 19 August 2026 and may since have changed — check it yourself before deciding. Stream does not offer EHR write-back and is not SOC 2 certified; if either is a requirement for you, that is a reason to look elsewhere and we would rather say so here than on a call.
