Where Doximity Scribe is better

  • Free, with no procurement, no new vendor and no card. The friction is close to zero.
  • A brand you already trust and an account you already have.

Where Stream is different

Not better at being a scribe — different in what it is for. Every product here writes a good note. The question is what happens to it afterwards.

  • Doximity copies and pastes into your EHR too, so on the EHR question the two are level — this is not a point against Stream.
  • The recording is discarded once the summary is produced. Nothing accumulates between visits.
  • Stream keeps what it heard as a problem-based chart, so the third visit is easier than the first.
  • Inbound faxes and outside records are read and filed under the problems they concern.
  • Doximity Scribe is English only.

“When you use Doximity Scribe, where does the note go afterwards?”

Which one you should actually pick

Choose Doximity Scribe if…

You want a note, you want it free, and the chart itself is not what is costing you time. That is a perfectly good answer and we would rather you take it than churn off us in a month.

Choose Stream if…

You are rebuilding the same context every visit, or the document pile is a job in itself.

Free to verified US clinicians. Pricing for Doximity Scribe was taken from their public pricing page on 19 August 2026 and may since have changed — check it yourself before deciding. Stream does not offer EHR write-back and is not SOC 2 certified; if either is a requirement for you, that is a reason to look elsewhere and we would rather say so here than on a call.
